That's fantastic! Time to bump up the water changes, eh? Looks like a hungry one.

the water looks dirty but made a 3/4 yesterday and added some happylife rio negro.
i think its the red/brown sand. and the un cleaned top glass, that akes it look dirty.

Thanks all gona take some more pictures later today.
now my fishes need to grow 4 more inches in my 600G befor i can add him.

Gona try feed him with some frozen fish today. if it dosent work im gona feed hime some african reef cichlids, (live)

Nope not Perruno.

More likely to be L.Mammoratus / L.Longbarbis
Has too many Dorsal Rays for Perruno which only have 8 Dorsal fin Rays.
Perruno in the trade are incredibly rare as they are only generally availabe from Lake Maracaibo - & not exports come from there.

Still a beautiful fish nethertheless.
Looks identical to my L.Mammoratus which is about 28" long too.
Great fish

hmmm.

when im searching the net for L.Mammoratus i dont find any, who looks like mine.
does the markings change while they grow up.. dont see any with spots like mine.

if anyone got some pictures of one then please upload it here =)

I have a TSNxLei(tiger Shovel Nose) (L.Marmoratus). And mine even has those spot things on Him :D L.Marmoratus are one of My Fav fish. Coolest fish IMO :D

best to keep this catfish in a light base tank to bring out the markings.
Keeping it in a black tank will cause the markings to darken and merge giving you a brown catfish... and tats what happen to my perruno.
