perruno growth rate

i just got this lil guy yesterday its definitely a perruno ive read alot about them i know how big they get but cant seem to find out the growth rate on these bad boys an yes i have the space for it i have two other large cats as well rtc x tsn an tsn any one have an idea what the rat would be hes about 3 inches now got him for a steal to 16 bucks heres a pic to so you guys can see him/her. got a belly full0409101902.jpg
 
Hmmm... I count more than 10 rays on that baby's dorsal fin. Looks more like a Marbled Pim (Achara Catfish) to me.

My Pim grew over the last year at a rate of about 1/3" per week.
 
It's so NOT a perruno. Perruno's only have 7 soft dorsal rays, and a totally different shape to the dorsal because of it. It's a Liearus marmoratus.
 
Yeah, not a P. perruno dude. I have NEVER seen a perruno in an aquarium in all my years of contacting people and looking at images of marbled catfish and their look alikes.
 
my achara's growth rate was amazing. Goes thru some strange cycle growth spells. had him for 2 yrs, and is now 28"....I also have an achara x tsn hybrid. that thing definitely takes after the achara as for growth.

If I think about it, my achara went from around 8" when I brought him home to 22" in about a year. After he hit 18", the growth rate slowed down, and started thickening/fattening out

yep. nice looking pim. will get big, fast. not RTC fast though.
