Perruno - safe to eat fruit?

Last night i was feeding my monsters and i put in some grapes and strawberries for my RTGG but my perruno came up and ate 4 full grapes (the purple ones) and some strawberry. I was wondering is its ok for him to eat them?

I don't see why not, in the wild they would get plant matter and fruits from their prey fish so in captivity i can't see it doing any harm to the cat.

a lot of the big cats are omnivore feeding on a very mixed diet like all things dont over do it but my old one used to clean up the pleco wafers when they were put in for the other fish.

I wouldn't worry about it either. Variety is great, and it's always neat to see what else they enjoy eating.

lots of big catfish crave fruits they love em just don't give them to many a few now and then if fine but feeding them just fruits would be bad

I know hes gets a lot of variation hell eat anything.

It's always nice to hear when someone else is feeding their catfish fruits also. My cats will eat strawberries, pieces of apple, and grapes also.
