for all the peeple who like to pay lots of cash crap fish this is for you

you can git flowerhorn at pet smart for $2.00

dude,
its kinda a thing that if your into it you want the best of the best. if you pay 200$ for a fish its probably a pretty high quality fish and if you pay 2$ your getting just some random fish from a random breeder and its most likely not gonna turn out like some of the crazy lookkn FH" on here.. if your not into the hybrid thing the that 2$ petsmart fish is great but if your a collector or whatev you wanna call it that 2$ petsmart fish just isnt gonna cut it

$2.00 flowerhorns at Petsmart, wow now this is news when did this happen?

this is so late of news that most petsmarts already got rid of them!

Yeah, and they're usually low quality.. so, don't compare them to a quality flowerhorn.. because with flowerhorns, the size PetsMart sells them at, and the size the start showing potential are totally different.. and you don't get to see the parents of the PetsMart fish, as to where.. you most likely know the breeder has a good rep if you research his fish.. PetsMart has local distributors that they buy directly from.. The PetsMart in Springfield, MO is supplied through ******* ***.

But anyway, a breeder is known for quality.. and with Flowerhorns, quality does count.. because not every fish is the same. It's all about genetics. There will be occasions where PetsMart FH turn into something nice.. but it's not very often.. and usually not as nice as it would be if it was a quality piece from a quality breeding.

Well to tell ya the truth the only FH I would ever buy would be a cheapy, whether it be from Petsmart or somewhere else. Just don't see where FH should cost 100s of dollars.

exactly. Its always fun to see the fish you're purchasings parents but when you pick up a baby its so much fun to watch them grow up and wonder what they're going to look like when they are older. I know of lots of $2 fish that have turned out to be amazing looking. The only reason I'd ever have to buy a expensive fish would be for breeding/selling purposes unless I really really wanted the fish and couldn't find any around me.
