Any near Roslindale and what one/ones do you think are the best? Thanks.

I'm not sure of any around Roslindale. Skiptons is probably the best, and closest to you. Skiptons is basically in Dorchester (just wear you flak-vest when you go...lot of crime this year :irked: ).

There is also Lovely Pets in Quincy. I used to live on the South Shore and that was our lfs...pretty good selection.

Tropic Isle is in Framingham...just off the Mass Pike. I've noticed it hit-or-miss there. Some times I go and pretty much break the bank and other times I go and the only thing I leave with is a stomach full of BBQ ribs from Tennesse's (highly recommended).:D

This is really good info. I'm moving to Boston this weekend from New York, and over the next few weekends will be bringing more than 80 fish with me. Upgrading to a 125 from a 75 in the process, and to the 75 from a 50, etc. Are any of those stores near T stops? Do they have websites?

(I'll be in Orient Heights/East Boston :D )

If you can check out PJ's Pet Centre (thats how they spell it) in Saugus off of Route 1, about 15 minute drive North of Boston. The best fish store in that area in my opinion.

This might sounds really funny, but could you name a few common freshwater fish, like angels, and take a guess at what they go for in Boston. I'm guessing stuff is higher out there, but might not be. Also, does anyone know of any pet store in Boston that sells co2 regulators? Thanks.

hey born2lovefish welcome to beantown, the price here are also hit or miss, skiptons rips you off like crazy (2 inch jardini 300 bucks), pj's pets are avergae but leaning towards overpriced, tropical isle and lovely pets are pretty good with the prices (2 inch jardini 50 bucks)
