Went out for frozen bloodworms and saw this guy up for adoption in a 10 gallon tank. Acclimated him, threw in a little melafix to be safe and here he is (or she, I don't know). Is the greenish tint natural or something I need to keep an eye on? I have had oscars in the past but this one is a little different than what I've had. He seems a little shy, but after spending time in that cramped tank I want to make sure I treat this guy well so I appreciate any first hand info that goes beyond the normal online research I did.
Thanks

I saw a huge peacock bass at a petco once. It was in a 20 and could barely turn. It was being acclimated for either adoption or adding to their pond they had for koi.

Thanks. They were saying this was a red oscar, but going by pics I saw it doesn't seem to be as solid a red coloring as I saw online. Would this be a red oscar or something else? Thanks again

Had to pay 11 bucks for "adoption fees" can't complain though, nice fish for the price

He looks a little sad . Most likely from the move . Oscars can act like that when you move them around . I had one that used to play dead as soon as I would get my hand in the tank !! And now my polleni does the same thing . Makes me laugh everytime. Funny little creatures they are !
