Petco flowerhorn ID?

I honestly can't even tell if that's a FH.
Or if those are stress bars or not.
Possibly a Red Dragon bred with a Convict?

As the cichlid rookie... was thinking the same thing... Petco.... prolly labeled incorrectly obviously... shoulda went to PetSmart ?

It seems to have the body of a flowerhorn, and the eyes look right. But it could be under stress for 1 reason or another.
That could certainly be the reason it's reason its dark.

Honestly I would say it's just a stressed lower quality flowerhorn. When I got my Jr. from Petco 3 years ago he looked very similar color wise. He eventually turned into an amazing fish. I'll attach some pics of his transformation here for anyone that cares to see. Sadly couldn't find the pic of him when I brought him home so these were the best I could do.
