Petco Flowerhorn

Hello, Everyone. I was browsing through my local petco today and saw this bad boy. For $13, I decided to give him a chance and see how he turns out. Could anyone tell me what kind of flowerhorn he may be? And does he or she have potential to be a beauty? Also, do they grow fast? This is my first flowerhorn.. Wish me luck!?

The potential for coolness really depends on what you think is cool. I personally don't care for those monstrosities with giant baseball size koks. That said, I think you have a fish that has potential to be attractive. Only time will tell. I have a Pet Supplies Plus purchased flowerhorn I'm growing out and I'm sure a flowerhorn breeder would consider it a fish they would cull. I think he's a cool looking fish though. My Petsmart one turned out awesome, but looked like crap as a juvie. Enjoy it for what it is, they have alot of personality.
