Petco "red devil"

i was at petco grabbing some supplies last night and took a peek in the cichlid/oddball tanks as they're known to have their pleasant surprises from time to time. that's when i see the tag for red devils and i thought back to the sticky about red devil and midas cichlids most often ending up being hybrids. so i figured what the hell they're $5 why not grab one for ****s and giggles to see how he grows out. i'll keep this post updated as it grows and fades. it's about an inch to an inch and a half, i'll be sure to vent when it gets a bit larger.

Here's one I grew from an egg. Actually grew out hundreds but and sold them.

yea im pretty excited to see him fade he's already got a pretty bright yellow to him now so he might turn out interesting. i remember when i first got my red ingot parrot while it was mid fade went from a dull yellow with brown splotches to the most brilliant red.

that's a great looking little guy any pics of the parents?
