Petco, should I buy some fish.

How many people buy fish from Petco? I like their selection. I would run them in longer in their Q tank. Any thoughts?

As long as you have a quarenteen tank, I don't see any reason not to buy fish from them.

+1. But if more than 2 fish are visibly ill or dead, don't buy.

Yep. Bought all my loaches from them. Just have to be really picky and quarantine.

My Petco has a tank set aside for quarantine that runs on a different system cause the dude who runs the fish area knows his stuff. I don't have a problem buying fish from my Petco. I usually get dithers from them.

Usually one whole section runs on one filter and another sections runs on another. So even if one side is sick theirs a chance that the other not connected dont share wAter. You just have to ask. But quarantine is a must regardless.
Ive found there will always be that one petco with better selection than others. I know where i get my oddballs and cichlids others dont bother carrying.

I've got a 6 year old boesemani rainbow that came from petco. of course the female died at about 1.5 years.
