Thanks man glad you like them. Was going to start posting again here as it's been several years but nothing has changed and I'm over it. Especially considering the time it takes to do so vs Facebook where I can make 20 posts in the same amount of time and say what I like lol
Mods act like rude children closing threads rather than doing their job and removing trolling derailing comments...it's a joke...so will stick with the sell only deal and end the share here...glad you enjoyed man I wanted to show some of the yahxa location too but oh well

No idea what you are talking about, but it's always nice to see pictures of nice fish, especially rare strains like this that you never see. Really cool specimens. Please do post whatever you've got and just ignore the haters.

Pretty sure bastardfish has had every species of cichlid under the sun lol.

Nice lake peten melanura.
You can see why synspilum and melanura were once thought to be two different species.
Proper name too.

If you keep enough of them you can also see why the decision to not say they were two separate species is somewhat faulty also but whatever don't make the rules but I do choose to classify them separate the names still stand separated too so why not
Like the decision to move some off the name vieja lol no one cares the majority of the hobby uses vieja to this day and will continue to do so . I normally use the latter portion of the Latin name only for this reason when you change names ever couple years it's far too annoying to care and keep up I pay attention just don't care

They are all melanura now dna has proved it.
The old name synspilum is no longer applicable
