Sitting on 3-400 eggs right now. Tough to get pics as they are in a pot in an algae covered spot of the 180. Pretty rare CA. These are NOT the common red variant.

Congrats! I really prefer this color varient, I find the pink/orange ones to gaudy. Any pics of just the parents?

I can try but they are mostly in the pot with the eggs (good sign) but I do have a few other ones of similiar size. Let me see what I can do about pics of them.

Interestingly in the wild the red variant is much more rare.

I saw a picture of this guys floating around the forum a year or so back. From what I remember they're a very pretty fish. Much more so than the Red Bay's IMO.

If you have any pictures I'd love to see them.

Congrats - mine also spawned for the initial time last week and the fry are free swimming. There is a picture of my pair on another thread somewhere here. Always wanted them and to breed them is an extra bonus. Good luck with yours!!
