Petland prices?

Stopped by a Petland Discounts to get some cat food on my lunch break, having never been to this particular spot, and they had a few things there where I think they just had no idea what they've got.

For example, they had maybe 2.5'' tilapia buttikoferi for I think $10 or $15 that looked like they were in good and good quality, and 1.5'' clown loaches for $9.99. Also an ~10'' tiger oscar in good condition for like $50.

Also there were some figure 8 or maybe pea puffers (tiny ones that school and follow your finger) in a tank with africans and whatnot. I mean, I don't even expect them to know what brackish IS at a place like that.

Do these strike you guys as good prices or just average for a store like this?

I would have grabbed a couple of loaches, but they don't have an 02 pump and I had to go back to work...

I bought some fish from them back in the day when they had stores by me. A lot of them closed down though. They had good prices on fish. I remember picking up an electric cat that was 1" from them for $1.99. I also picked up various decent sized cichlids from them for like $5.99

Unfortunately, you take your shot on the health of the fish.

Still though...there aquarium pricing is REALLY good. I purchased a 125g from them for $200 when I was younger. That's pretty cheap for a brand new tank.
