I picked up a 29g tall from Petco today to build a new trickle filter sump for my 110g. Can someone direct me to a good place to buy affordable bioballs?

I am planning on one partition to make a large ~20g bioball chamber with an egg crate underneath. I am thinking of getting a piece of glass cut for the partition.

Does anyone have an opinion on glass vs acrylic (plexi) for partitions?

My petco has some blue plastic bio balls for $4 that will fill I would say a 10g tank. Original price for those balls are like $29. Do you just want to use bio balls? Any alternatives in mind?

As for partitions, I would say acrylic is easier to cut and easier to use.

Is petcto doing the $1 per gallon sale again?

From what I've read up on, bio balls are ok, but if you're looking to save some $$$ you should just fill the chamber with the plastic dish scrubbies (or loofas/ the body versions).

That's what I use in all three chambers of my w/d and they work great.
