Tri cities washington
petsmart in federal way, washington is terrible. i bought 6 fish that looked healthy then bout a month later every one died:( . so i got fish somewhere else no probs! thinking maybe i killed them, i saw a very colorful oscar at petsmart and had to have him. he was inwith my other fish for bout a month and was cool, started acting timid 2 days, DIED! all the other fish ive bought at other stores are doing great! what gives why is this? has anybody else ever had problems like this at your lfs?

Why are they dying after a month? Thats weird... unless its an internal parasite.. but then wouldnt your other fish die too? I dunno...

If they last for about a month and then die it could be that in that time the new fish could have been pick on to death by tank mates already in the tank.

That one that lasted two days just could have been sick.

But there are many possibilities.

Let me put it this way: if a fish dies a MONTH after the purchase date, then chances are it's YOUR fault.

In the second case, it's most likely by chance, you've selected a unhealthy fish. You should've been more careful.

HOWEVER, Petsmart is not the best place to buy live stock ANYWAY, so yes, BLAME PETSMART! (even though it's your fault).

god Im tired of the dissing petsmart threads. Not all are bad. You can use such a blanket statement.

Its just like sayin because the lfs in my town has a crappy owner and employees who know nothing makes all lfs crappy. Now I know this is not true. Its just like how not all petsmarts are bad. Yes, a few suck, some dont, but dont blame them all. A month after the purchase chances are its your fault

If your Petsmart fish lived a month, you should be happy. After a month, it's definitely your fault.
