I've never had a flowerhorn before and was hoping to find a cheap one at petsmart mixed in with their "red texas" but they said they haven't stocked them in a few years. Is there a good place to check out for a 'beginner's flowerhorn'? I'm looking to grow one out, not an adult. Not worried about amazing quality either , im just more interested in the hybrid and seeing what I end up with from a little mutt fish. thanks so much

I've got an extra one, not sure if your close enough to me to make it with your "cheap" while lol. Ask around, most any lfs can order flowerhorns. They are mostly low quality to show standard but still awesome fish.

Have your local store order them, most stores in Florida are supplied by Segrest Farms and thats where the Petsmart ones come from.
Thanks I asked my lfs about it and hopefully there gonna get some in. If not I'll try buggin em about it next week again. They do seem like really cool fish, so hopefully I come across one to grow out. I really appreciate the tips and offer.
