Petsmart price error, Eheim 2128 themofilter canister 289.99 (295 w/shipping)

while looking for canisters i came across this. I think they have the model prices reversed. Not sure if this is a good deal or not, but it's cheaper than all other sources.

289 @ Petsmart (no media)
399 @ DFS (no media)

seems awfully expensive still, when you can get the 2028 w/media for like 200.

can that be toned down to work on a 37g? sounds like it might be overkill, but thats about the same price i was goign to pay for an eheim 2026 w/media.

ever run one of these fx5 with sand? curious if the impeller gets destroyed since its located ont he bottom of the canister.

Mark-up on fx5's must be outragous, my lfs sells them for $239, went to the lfs in another town and his are on "sale" for $379 with a big sign that says "normally $399"

Through most online vendors the FX5 sells for around $340... so $279 at a LFS is an amazing deal, not the going rate... I have no clue how or why your store can sell them for that price, but you shouldn't assume others do, would or should...

ok just called lfs and asked the owner, he said he sells a lot of his equipment at his wholesale, he makes his money off the fish and tanks and doing in-home set-ups, now i know why so cheap there.
