Petsmart Spotted Hi-Fin 3 bucks? :o

I know there are a lot of different types of plecos, and I stumbled upon a few baby "Spotted hi-fin plecos" (that's what label said) for 3 bucks! i snatched one cuz there were only a few left, but idk if i got jipped and its just a regular sailfin. You can see spots, but will that stay on there? check it out

They are just regular sailfin plecos. I did the same when I got mine a year ago. Was only a buck but I got it any way. I got rid of him because all he did was crap.

Yea it's a normal sailfin.

I've got a regular sailfin and my wife and I love him. He's got great personality, eats any veggie we feed him, and he just grows, swims, grows, poops, and poops and swims some more.

Enjoy your pleco. They're great fish. Don't worry about pedigree. Just enjoy your pleco.

I picked up the same fish from the same store. Mine tuned out amazing. He looked just like yours when I got him, now he is pushing 12". I will post a pic of him later today for you.

I have one just over 13". I love him. I hope you enjoy yours too. I think I also paid about $3 for it about 3 years ago.

"just a sailfin"?! give him a chance, they may not be the most colorful of pleco species but they definitely have one of the best personalities. that is, if you actually enjoy seeing your fish. gibby's are one of my favorites if you have the tank space for one. yes they poop alot, but don't stress over it, let your BB in your gravel do its job and it will actually get itself under control if you're not constantly trying to suck it all out.
