Petsmart water test and my tank test which is best??????

Hello, anyone tell me which water is best or if they both are bad or both good???????? Petsmart water was amonia .25 nitrite 0 nitrate 0......my tank water is amonia 0 nitrite .25 nitrate 10

what sort of test kit were you using vs what test kit were they using

They use a multi strip, I used api liquid test

Pet smart test suck. they are always off compared to API. I use API test kits and wouldn't trust the dip sticks for nothing.

the one time I went there, the test strips were expired and on top of it the pH tests were way off. my water was less than 7 and they were saying my ph was over 10.

strips are worthless imo.. stick with the api

API is the only test kit I more then likly will ever use.

Having worked at one, the test strips themselves are horribly unreliable, and can be contaminated easily. Not to mention like 80% of the people doing the testing don't actually know what to do when your water is bad.

On top of that, really the only tests you need at Nitrite, pH and Ammonia imo. Get the liquid tests.

Hello, no one actually answered the question of which water is better from the test. It was not a question of what kind of water tester is best.
