We are own some monsters, and they live very long and personality. They are not just a fish. They are a friend. Please share some pics, and videos when you were petting your fish. Here are my two videos, hope everyone enjoy the video.
Petting my snow gar.
Petting my baby gar.

Wow that's tame. I used to pet my redtail cat, and he would swirl around my hand. Now that he's in the pool he wants nothing to do with me.

No pics or vids but I used to pet my FH all the time...he loved it.

He'd try to bite anyone else that attempted it though...

Have you attempted this with your new piranhas, Souzie?;)

That's super cool with the FH! I've often wondered if my fish can differentiate me from other humans that approaches their tanks

This is not such a great idea with scaless fish such as Puffers and eels etc... Since the oils on our hands could irritate their slime coat...

But my dad used to have Koi that loved swimming over his hands getting a belly rub when doing tank maintanence...

LOLOLOL...I wouldn't dare!

Then again, they're scared of their own shadows so I might just try it one day if I can get close enough. The minute I stick my arm in the tank, they cower in the corner. I still get nervous though cause they might act out of fear and chomp my fingers or something...these mofos are fast...if they wanted to get me, they'd get me.

I think certain fish can tell the difference. I read somewhere that some oscars will sulk if someone other than their owner feeds them.

Actually with the p's too...I can walk by the tank and stare at them just fine. But the one time my sister did it, she said they went berserk...swimming into things, splashing water and trying to jump out.

I used to have two brown bullhead cats that I would only feed by hand, eventually it got to the point where I could pet their heads as they eat
