Pfs vs play

What looks better? Which one is darker? Will lighter colored sand make my fish pale and washed out? Pros and cons please, im switching from gravel to sand soon.

What are you keeping for stock? Small community, I prefer playsand due to color and not having to worry about it being stirred up. I prefer lapis lustre to pfs, looks better than pfs and similar grain size but heavier and significantly less of it winds up in my filters.

I have thrre 6+ inch central american cichlids, and thrre more between 2 and 4 inches. They dis a lot so I figured pfs would be best because of its weight and coarse grain size.
