I am daily having to put my ph down. I use a normal ph kit and every day I check it it seems to be too much alka.. I use ph down to get it back to neutral for my Oscar but by the next day there too much alka again? What the?? Help??

Don't really know where to start... Lets see...
First off, your Oscar will do fine in a high ph. They aren't a fussy fish, just do plenty of water changes. So stop messing with your ph.
Second, it is your water's kh (alkalinity) that is bumping it back up as you suspected. Alkalinity is the measure of your water's ability to neutralize acid. So you're basically just dumping acid in with the product you're using, and it's neutralizing it after about a day and buffering back up.

As long as it is stable and your fish is happy and health just leave it alone. Fish aren't as picky about pH as you would think as long as it is stable.
