I tested the pH in my tap water, aged tap water and tank last night and I wanted to see if you think the variance is OK. My tank is at 7.0, my tap is 7.4 (maybe even 7.6, but it looked a little lighter than the 7.6 indicator on the API test key) and aged tap water is 7.2
I change about 10 gallons of water a day, and 30% to 50% once a week. I’m hoping that littler water changes daily will make the higher pH tap going in less noticeable to the discus, but when I do the larger one is that too much of a difference? Should I test before and then right after a large change to see what effect it has on the tank?
