Should be lower than 7.0...go for 6.0-6.5 is fine...to lower it i would get a piece of Driftwood and that would lower it naturally...you can alos you Peat moss or those black water kind of leaves...and their are just many liquids you can use to lower it...but I would just go with Driftwood

those you can find in the LFS is the right ones or those water logged woods in the local rivers....just let it soaked for a while and bake it to rid of any hanging parasites and bugs
