PH Levels

Hi i was wondering if i was to add a bag of coral sand into my sump for my Tank would the PH raise dramaticaly? which would mean the fish wouldnt be able to cope with the change??
My tank is a tanganikan tank except for a pair of lamprologus congo would they be ok with the rise in PH?

my tank is 330 Gallons.

That's not going to even put a dent in your pH reading. What are you using for a substrate? What is the current pH of the tank?

This was just hypertheitcal question with reagrds to changing PH Levels while the fish are in the tank.

it may work but it may take a looong time. better to put it in your tank.
