I have a new baby Aro about 2 inches long in a 55 gal.I lost my last Aro to what I thought was ICh.(rubbed on glass till a soar developed slowly died). My tank now is 82f & has more airation. Now awhile back I added coral because my water ph was too low. Now its about 7.6 & I understand Aro's like water slightly more acidic. The fish is doing ok but I was told over time it might effect the fish.should I slowly remove the glavel/coral until it balances out? My tank:55gal lg aqua clear double air pump.I do regular water changes & I'm feeding sticks flakes & dried plankton & pro for water. I want to raise my Aro to adult.(will get 180 when time) beside the ph any advice would be apreciated. I posted short video at www.youtube.com/L's baby Arowowana if interested.

cool,i got some baby aros i juz bought too.

i bought 3 of them.its in a 2x1x1ft tank atm,15gal,with a overhead mechanical filter,no biological filtration.but regular 20 per cent water changes every 2 days.so far its doing very good their appetite is very good, feeding them twice a day,if no food they tend to bite each other.i wont worry abt pH as fish tend to usuallly get used to their pH over time and will adapt to it slowly.juz do regular water changes and i dun think there is a need for corals since ur housing them in a 55gal atm not a 180gal yet.fro my experience i noticed these coral chips and other biological gravel or sand should be used on tanks above 100gal,as there are possible fluctuations in pH around the tank.not necessary for small tanks unless you keep those planted tanks or lots of fishes in it.but 1 arowana should not be a problem.

yea i know fish adapt but just didnt want to take chances since im in for the long haul! thanks for any and all feedback and advise cause im no really sure what killed the last one.
