acidic or neutral or alkaline?? i know they are brackish so maybe looking at alk? my small dat is in neutral freshwater atm.

what kind of dat? Not all dats are brackish

Most dats will handle a wide range of pH...it's stability of pH that is key for survival.

I don't keep any of my dats in brackish water...even NGTs and ATs. I just use a little rock salt, but it's nowhere near brackish.

i was talking about in the wild, I have read about alot of ppl having success with AT and NGT in fresh. Infact I think more ppl keep them in fresh then brackish.

just found out its an indo.. this change anything?

D.microlepis and indo are synonymous. So no it doesn't change anything, a neutral pH is fine. ;)
