My Ph in my 180 shark tank keeps wanting to rise to around 8.57. The only thing I have changed to the tank in the last three months is I added a aquaripure filter about 4 to 5 weeks ago and normal water changes. I have had the ph problem for about 4 days now, I tried vinegar the only thing I got from that was a ph of about 8.3 for about 12 hours and a bacterial bloom. the bacterial bloom is gone now and my ph has returned to 8.57 again. The only thing I can think of that might have casue the problem is when I mixed my water for my water change last week I let it mix in my mixing tank for about three days becasue i was to busy to change it, could this longer mixing time have added allot of oxygen and removed most of the co2 casuing my problem? I only use RO water and the ph is fine from it. I did a water change last night of about 25% and it dropped and rose back to 8.57 this morning. I don't think it is the nitrate filter becasue if it did anything to the ph i figured it would lower it. Any ideas on what my problem could be would be appreciated, but more importantly how can I fix the high ph problem? and all the main parimaters seem fine ammonia-0,nitrate-0,nitrate0-10,and salinity 1.023, temp 74.
thanks
