ph problem

hey guys an girls
i've a quite a problem with my ph levels for somereason i've had the ph go up from 6.8 /7.0 ppm to a wopping 8.0 ppm


my question is what would cause this the tanks been running for a while an is cycled fine all my other prams are good
niterate 5.0 ppm
niterite 0.0 ppm
amonia 0.0 ppm

i only noticed this, this morning. i done a water change of around 25% yesterday and give it 18 hours or so before i done my water test today. what

if anyone can help this would be great i'd like to solve the problem with out chemicals.....

i did add sand about 6 weeks ago done the acid test with vinegar had no bubbling from the sand before i added it to the tank. the prams have been fine untill today its got me a little worried as i keep piranhas and they hate hi ph...

all my other tanks are fine with the ph just this one

I have a similar problem but mine seems to be going the opposite way. I would suggest more frequent water changes, maybe 25% and moniter params closely. Thas what im currently doing
