ph/pump suggestions for draining tank

so my python is too slow at draining and I want to use a powerhead/pump

what would you guys recommend?

should I be looking at around 200-300 gph?

I think on a 55G, you need to be more patient. A phython is just fine. I have a 315 and use a 1.25" pool hose to do water changes. It would suck your 55 empty in no time.

yeah but i've got the crappy lee's one from walmart, and it wastes crazy amounts of water
