So I bought the kit and decided to test my pH, it's been 6 or so years since I've even tested and it wasn't with API.. ( I do 50 percent water changes every other day on my tanks ). So I tested and when I test with the normal PH bottle it turns a darker blue then the chart, which says 7.6 which is a baby blue. So I tested with the high pH and get a little lighter color then the 7.4, so does that mean it falls between like 7.3 for my pH or am I doing something wrong?

I would say your ph is 7.5 or so. Since you are doing water changes every other day. I wouldn't bother trying to fix the ph. The only way our going to lower the ph and keep it there, is if you store the water and treat it before adding it to the tank. How big of a tank are we talking about.? If its a large tank I would look a an RO system. Do your fish require a very low ph. Whats your kh and gh?

It's my 75g Oscar tank that have my 2 growing Os that I decided to test for the purpose of the kit. I'm just curious as to how to accurately read it since its like how I mentioned with the colors.
