pH Tolerance

How high can south american cichlids tolerate their pH.

which species are you thinking about? different species come from different regions so will have different tolerances.

the species I was concerned about was JD and Jags

JD and jags are both central american cichlids and can tolerate ph at least down to neutral and probably even somewhat acidic and they can tolerate ph up to at least 8.8 or so. my ph is at least that high and I almost exclusively keep central american species and they're all doing great.

most if not all SA cichlids can tolerate any high pH range
