Ph troubles in my 10 footer!?

so some of you may remember when i posted some pictures of my 10 ft tank with paroons, pacu etc but now i need sone help with ph fluctuations! I thought that the larger the tank the more stable things like ph are??? Well the normal ph level in the tank was around 8.2, then it just started to rise and rise till it peaked around 9.2!!! That is atleast what the digital ph is reading, the test kits read at 6.5!! What the hell is happening? Why are the ph readings so different between the digital and box test kit? Yes we have tried large water changes but the water ph in singapore is around 8-9...

be sure to get 2 solutions to test and set your meter, i would trust the strips if you have not calibrated it, do you have limestone, I made mistake of putting it in my tank for cave structure and my pH went up like that too, took it out and all is fine.
 
How do u calibrate the digital ph metre? I shall ckeck the gh and kh when i get back from school. I shall post as soon as i do :)

Annoyingly i dont have any kh/gh tests left :( only amonia and nitrite/nutrate... So any otger usefull tips to get the ph down for when i come back from school?
