Ph up & down-alternatives??

hey ppls,

i was just wondering if there are other alternatives to using ph up n down...i've heard that bi-carb saoda works as a ph up...

just curious to know what else works for both uppping and downing ur ph levels...

Main thing to keep in mind before trying this is that total alkalinity needs to be understood before attempting a signifigant change of pH. There are a lot of acids that can be used to lower pH, but I have to admit I cannot think of the one they use.

oh i dun plan on using any in my tank without testing first...i tjust thought it would be intersting that's all...
