in front of my cichla tank,IL
i set up my 210 a few days ago and the pH level is at 7.6
the pH level in my 29 with my pbass is like somewhere around 6.8
wat can i do to lower the pH level with out buying any chemicals.
i have big piece of driftwood that takes up half the tank and then 2 smaller pieces in there as well.

Keep pH consistent. You do not need to fiddle with your pH. What is the pH of your tapwater? What are your KH and GH?

the pH of my tapwater is 7.6 according to the api test kit
but the whole reason why i was asking about lowering the ph is because i dont know how well my peacock bass and silver arowana will take to the sudden increase from 6.5ish-7.6

You could slowly introduce small amounts of your 210 water into your 29 water for several days before moving them over.

Exactly just accimilate them slowly. Why is the ph in your tank lower than your tap water.

i believe its cuz i had driftwood in the tank for a long time

and the thing about putting water from the 210into the 29 wouldnt be that bad of an idea

that's not much of a pH difference. just drip-acclimate them and they'll be fine. it is better to have acidic pH for baby bass, but that's barely over neutral. I have lots of amazon fish in 7.5+ water so I don't have to mess with the tap water besides dechlor.

I have S americans. First my ph was near 8. Dropped manzanita wood in, nothing changed... Got some driftwood from a creek, small enough to put into a pot and boil it. That did what I wanted, I eventually got the ph to 6.8-7.0. I tried mopani wood, everything.
Be careful adjusting ph, lowering it especially can cause more problems than you need. But wood is the way to go. Chemicals last for day to days. :(
