PH

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
what kind of fish are you trying to lower it for? Remember stable is always better than something that's going to fluctuate. I've heard of using peat moss in filters do some searching for that. Also driftwood will help until all the tannins are out of it. Chances are your fish will be fine in the PH you have though so I personally wouldn't worry about it to much.

Go to the store and buy ph lowering stuff. Directions will be on the bottle.
dont use that crap there are better (and cheaper) ways to do this

1 peat in your filter

this helps as peat takes hardness out of the water and realses humic acids which lower the ph and tan the water if you want to remove the brownish colour the water aquaries simply run carbon as well make sure to boil the peat first thoughly and place it in a media bag

2 an RO unit (this is the expensive route but there isnt any pH swing while doing water changes)

an RO unit hooks up to your tap and literaly takes everything out of the water (hardness ammonia etc.... EVERYTHING) use a mix of RO and tap water to acheive the ph you want
