my three inch blue phantom pleco has his left eye white other one is fine and all tank inhabitants are fine wat does this mean and wat should I do :nilly::( I really don't want to lose this guy because he is one of my favorites in the tank and in the future I might try to breed him with another phantom but the eye is white in middle and kind of hasy

My Piranha had the cloudy eye once.. I used Epsom Salt and it was gone in a day or two... I'm sure you'll find the dosage on here, just search cloudy eye or Epsom Salt...

I do not have any salt and unfortunately don't really have any place around here were I can get supplies at the moment but will it still eventually clear up I will have all the supplies needed next weekand being a new light fixture, extra sponge filter(for more filtration)plants and ill also get some salt but does seem alittle less clouded

only thing different did today was feed fish a different food so could a ammonia spike possibly have caused this I don't ussualy give them this food I added some stress zyme and I have a very powerful aireator on right now I was going to clean filter this weekend but it is just a little hasy right now but should it clear in a few days I do not plan on feeding until after cleaning filters and aiding the bacteria with the stress zyme wich I have a large stockpile of right now

plecos eye is fine now and I cleaned main part of filter I added filter sponge to the intake wich I will clean tomorrow but was wondering I thought salt was bad for plecos

In the future if it get cloudy eyes again check to see if the eyes cloudy surface is peeling or is it in the eyes it self. Surface eyes cloudiness is easily cured by doing water change. Deep cloudy eyes in some case salt will help, but do water change first.
