Would philodendron brasil be an acceptable plant to grow in an HOB filter? I have been thinking of growing a plant in an hob for a while know and just wanted to see if anyone has used this plant before or knows if it safe for my fish. Hopefully so, it would be perfect for my SA tank.

Thanks.

^+1, it might look kind of neat since it would almost look like some sort of monster growing out of the HOB lol, picturing it on my HOBs is quite funny to me

Thanks for the replies and just for a heads up; I spoke with the guy in charge of the conservitory at the Fort Worth Botanical Gardens, the only real thing I was worried about was some type of possible poisoning (plants do some really wierd things). He told me that there would be no problem with calcium oxalate and that it would really help fiter the nitrates in the tank. I plan on growing it out quite a bit (going to let it grow up a column by my tank) and will update if I see any real change in water quality.
