It is so easy on MFK to load pics and such. Why do so many sites make you use photo-bucket or some other bs? I dont want to have to load my crap to that place first just to have to do it again. Pain in the ass. Whats the reason they dont just do it like we do here?
server space costs money... having a third party host images/video/audio for free cuts down on opperating costs.. for small sites/boards it can be an issue because most of the time adds are not covering opperating costs...
on bigger/better sites (like mfk) its also not such of an issue since adds/vendors prettymuch covers overhead...

Basically what Chester said, except that the vendors and adds don't necessarily cover all of the costs. Li is just a great guy and provides the space for us to use.

it only takes long on here for me if the pics are huge and are not resized. Otherwise, I click the paper clip, click browse and it go right to all my albums. That to me is 10 times better than going then to photobucket and having to copy and paste.
Photobucket is a lot faster for me, and it's easier to position the photos in the thread where I want so i can label them. You can do that with the normal uploaded too, though. It's also nice to have one place where I can store all my photos and label them, especially if I post said photos on multiple sites or something.
