Another great Show. I was of course looking forward to D200 announcement but saga still continues, at least still as of 10PM on saturday. There is still sunday
The highlight of the show for me was announcement / presentation of Aperture by Apple. This piece of software attracted hundreds of Show members. I was soooo impressed that right after I got home, I started researching G5 machine. Decided not to later but still think Aperture will be Up There, next to PhotoShop.
Here are few images from the show.
This is what I liked about Nikon. 2 D2X with 400 f/2.8 just mounted there for anyone to try it. I have yet to see Canon / Sony / Mamyia / Hasselblad do such thing. Impressive indeed !
I was talking to Nikon representatives about 400 vs. 500 and D200. He smiled when I asked him about D200 and said that he can NOT talk about it
Great speakers through Canon and Nikon. Unbelievable porftolios.
One of the graphic / printing companies had this Hasselblad composition to test H1 model. Great camera but a bit too expensive.
Adobe section was packed for each presentation. Adobe has to be making tons of money !!!
Small setup with LowelEgo lights. Great for VERY small object photography.
HoodmanUSA had those need covers for LCD and laptops. I was really interested in laptop version. Great for traveling.
Apple had tons of customer service around Aperture section.
Apple had huge presentation section (*it was filled each time) and tons of hands on computers to try their software
I had to take a picture of that camera. I guess he was at operation Desert Storm
Canon section was packed as well. People were playing with 5D, Mark II ... all of it !
There was a lot of LIVE model photography sessions.
