Please post fotos of biologic sumps as I am thinking of adding one to my 180 freshwater and using the eheims 2217 for mech and chemical media only. Thanks!

If you are looking for a wide range of sumps and wet/dry systems in order to build your own, I suggest you spend some time looking through the DIY forum and the Setup and Filtration forum. There are tons of different designs, styles and setups to browse. Having people post pictures for you will greatly hinder how much you will see, learn and understand. There are many great builds on here. A lot of those would never get posted in this thread.

There is also the search feature that will let you search specific sub forums for respective information.

Also, I suggest that you use all of your filters to work with the tank. Redundancy is to your benefit should something in the system stop working, such as one canister or the pump in the sump system.

For my 125 and 180..........I have built a DIY wet/dry filter that cost me under $100 to complete..........I actually learned it from this forum....I have been a member of MonsterFishKeepers.com for over 5 years.......Trust me when I say you will understand Mr Importracer when you build your first DIY...It is really simple.........Here is a few hints:

Plastic 33g storage container
Plastic 3-Drawer system
5 dozen Chinatwon sponges
A drill
2 hours:traveling and putting together.....
a $59-89 return pump
O, Yeah., some filter floss
All under the belt, completed, makes you will like a professional hobbyiist----->PRICELES........

Thanks to all I will check out your suggestions, and I too believe in redundacy in filters most aquarists I believe will under filter so The eheims will stay as well as the sump when I built it.
