So it has been weeks since Rapps' Atabapos and Red lents were in...is anyone going to ever post some pics?! Sorry for the whine but it'd be cool to finally see some shots of them.
Eh, no biggy. I didn't get any of them, and they are gone now, so you know if i had gotten some i would have posted pictures of them for sure. The person to bug is Fish Speaker...he has a larger than most group of them! Unfortunately, I am afraid some of them are probably dieing, which is why we hasn't seen pictures. I was very serious when i said they are more delicate than other pikes....
I have a pic of one of the lents in the official pike photo shoot thread (close to the end...) that's probably one of my best shots ever. The atabapos are doing OK...gradually getting over the shyness, but I haven't been able to get a decent pic yet (this tank also is tough to shoot because of an empty 270-gallon tank standing right in front of it ). No deaths yet, just the initial HITH. I promise to post some better pics of these soon...this is the best I've been able to get, and it's pretty pitiful:
WOW!!! NICE FRIGGIN LENTS!!! Killer markings and all freckeled like red headed step children. What is your secret to keeping those two from murdering one another?

Yes, those are some of my favorites right now. I'll have to get some updated pics this week. I've got the lents in one tank, the atabapos in another. Not willing to take chances. So far, they are playing nicely with their own kind.
Here's a new pic from tonight of 2 of the lents. These fish are eating everything and are always at the front of the tank. I almost got a shot of the atabapos...first couple were bad shots, and they then decided they had seen enough of the flash. I'll keep at it...they aren't nearly as photogenic as the lents right now: mine are the smallest I could get, so they have some red highlights, but are not yet fully red.
