when i fill my tank with my phyton is it a good idea to put fine filter pads (white ones) from where the water comes out from when filling the tank. Will it do my water any good?

Just a thought:nilly:

I wouldn't bother, unless you've got some really nasty water in which case you shouldn't be adding it to your tank :)

I have stuffed a AC110 sponge into the end of mine when refilling during the colder months of the year. I reduces the microbubbles that enter the tank when refilling. I will not change the water quality from a chemical standpoint though...

Burt:)

you useing rusty well water? my parents use one of those micro sock deals that the wet/dry guys use when they top off their pool. it seems to help keep the rust out of their pool. they use about one a month and they are the real big ones. just something to think about... really all ive got. i have city water to its RO for me..

would the fine media help prevent the amount of chlorine that gets in my tank water.? If not, what does other than Reverse osmosis and de-chlorinators?

No my water does not come from a well and it doesn't have rust
