Here is my marble veil angel he is going to be one year old in april, and he's 4" tall, I am 6'2 and have big hands so the hand to fish ratio is kinda off but you can tell he is good size and in good health.

Thought I would throw in a picture of his buddy "Dro" the dojo loach, since the angel petted and picked up out of the tank he just had to get petted and picked up too. My fish are crazy lol, but they know and trust me enough to do these things without a net. The loach is a good 6" long.

Wow you bear snatched them out of the tank? Nice. My flowerhorn (notoriously hand trainable) was afraid of my hand. The closest any of my fish get to it is when they are breeding and they try to bite it.

I wouldn't say bear snatched...I cup my hand a little and they swim up in and around my hand and I just gently rub their sides with my index finger and just slowly get my hand underneath them while it is cupped and rubbing them the whole time till they are up out of the water. Lol it sounds a WHOLE lot easier than it is.

Good idea, stress the fish and diminish their slim coat for pics. Not to mention they are still blury

You are a very funny guy, but I dont expect Kodak moments out of my camera phone.

I dont think I harmed him to bad as my angel is currently attempting to attack my 4" tiger barb but he is too fast, and I also picked the barb up today. They call me the Fish Whisperer.

The only fish I could ever get to do that was an oscar. 9" and he let me pick him up and put him in a quarantine so I could drill the tank he was in... what a guy... it's a shame he had to go.

It's actually better to lift your fish out of the tanks bare handed rather then using nets - it's how I would handle and transfer all of my discus.

Not to say that it's not dangerous, you have to be very careful that they don't go jumping out of your hand - but I'd say so long as you washed your hands before doing that, they're fine =)

Good look'n angel.
