anyone here have one???? do you have any pics??? I want to see peoples pics because websites always show like show specimens and then you buy one and it looks nothing like you thought it would. Are they really aggressive?? like can they live with tangs and crabs in a 150 gallon??? I don't want a one fish tank, I went through that with FW... can they be normal or are they always homicidal???

i oubt they can be crabs, or do you mean hermits? either way i think it's a no-go.
each individual trigger is SO different it's hard to tell how they'll act untill you get it. some are pussycats others are pitbulls.

so they can't live with tangs and other fish??? so I guess gobies and stuff would all be out of the question???? geez who uses an entire 150 gallon for one trigger???

no, if you get a good one they can be kept with other things they just have to be large or fast enough to escape persecution. picasso's are one of the most docile triggers that you can get.

Yeah tangs are very quick and will be fine. Think about small groupers, big dottybacks, tuskfish, rabbitfish there is alot that can go with triggers. Crabs will be eaten in minutes. Hermits will last awhile but only till the trigger is bored. then if he can fit it, the whole shell will either be eaten or else crunched up with the hermit removed then spit the bits of shell back out. Big hermits will either lose legs one by one or else if the trigger grabs its head, it will be bashed against rocks till its smashed. Def a no go but pretty cool to watch.

In a 150 gal tank with some shelter, you picasso probably will not turn into a mad cow... I got one clown trigger (4 inch) with a ****** trigger (1 inch) with other fishes as Mac's angel (4 inch) , hippo tang (3 inches) , sailfin tang (3 inches) all holding theirselves in a 60 gal tank... just beware of not taking too long to add your other desirable fishes...because if left alone for a long time...picasso or any other marine fish , will become too territorial and may present trouble for your other fishes... usually one rule for triggers... add bigger fishes than the trigger and usually you will be fine...

Niger Trigger. not harping on ya but a lot of pople get offended when this slips out.
you're gonna need a way bigger tank
yeah alot of the "more agressive" fishes develop a this-whole-tank-is-mine mentality. my clown and damsel are still duking it out over the heater.

Yeah ille agree with big gourami. You really shouldnt be claiming it possible because you have done it. Your triggers are still tiny. Wait till they are bigger. When they are 12" or more and still living happily its a success.
And the only reason they wouldnt get that big is because of the tank there in.
Your def gonna need a bigger tank.

this is a pic of a humu i had, he was about 2 inches long, he had to find a new home after he picked on my port jackson shark
