In search of Leiarius
:nilly:the tank the pleco will be in is a 55 gallon 48in long 16 in high and 12 in high.

it seems all the plecos i end up liking get to big or are unable to be purchase at my lfs.

temp range of 73-86f

tankmates, snails, 4 cherry barbs, betta, 2 spotted rapheals , 2 or 3 banjo catfish.

sandy bottom as substrate, 3 medium large sized driftwood pieces.

Assuming by 'cactus pleco' you mean a Psuedacanthicus species, both this and and a GN would be unsuitable because they have the potential of reaching 30cm or more.

I would try to stay under the 20cm/8" mark for a solitary specimen like L128 and L200 and for groups look into the Hypancistrus and Ancistrus genus. Or maybe a small group of L204.

I was hoping for over a foot, just my luck to get the only Pseuda that doesn't grow that big.:ROFL:
