just picked up a 125g and stand only, there is no center brace on the top, its wide open, but its not broke off, it was designed this way, the top brace just goes around the top, no evidence there was ever a piece going across, 1/2 thick glass, is this going to work, it has water marks at the top so i know it did hold water, filling it up now to check, but without a center brace is this going to be fine since it wasnt designed with one thanks

1/2" thick glass is pretty thick i think for a 125, i dont know, maybe its the common thickness, just am not sure since my 45, 55, and 75 all have the center brace supporting the sides. hlaf full with water now, hopefully its good
My Marineland 125 has a center brace and extra thick glass but I doubt you will have a problem since I think the center brace on mine is pretty useless.

my 90 and 65 were built in the early 90's and neither has any braces at all.
its only around the late 90's that everyone started using the one peice molded tops with the braces..and slightly thinner glass too...

so pretty much i should be good? just didnt want 125 gallons on my floor! does anyone know what thickness glass is on their 125? so i can see if mine is thincker than the newer style tanks
