Picked up a 240g - RTM & Jags?

Hi all, 1st post ever on MFK.

Anyways, I grabbed a 240g off craigslist last month but waiting to set it up until after I move in Nov. However, that isn't stopping me from thinking about what I want to do with it.... My cichlid experience is with Apisto's, Bolivian rams, angels, and 1 oscar (Not same tank obviously). Currently I only have Apisto's in 2 heavily planted 40 gal breeders.

Questions:
1) Would 1 pair of RTM & 1 pair of jags work for life?

2) If so, what else might fit with them comfortably?

3) I have prob around 200 cherry red shrimp currently, snacks for my Apisto's but they can't keep up with them. I started with 25 or so. Could these be a nice supplement for Parachromis? I mean if I removed the Apisto's in one of my 40's and just let them breed like bunnies?

I guess that is all I have for now, I am sure other questions will pop up in the next few months.

VRWC on here had a pair of RTM and dovii in his 265 and they did fine together. They even both had fry in there at once...

This would probably work, just make sure you set up structures/hiding spots on opposite ends of the tank so the two pairs can claim their sides. Also make sure you put them all in at the same time.
