Picked up a couple Cuban x Jag

Just got these guys at a local spot because I couldn't resist seeing what comes of it. They are both in my kids tank for now seeing as they are about the size of a rosy red. Anybody ever seen this hybrid, or anything similar that they could share pics of? I personally think it's going to be butt ugly, but either way it will be cool to see. I'm still skeptical whether the info is correct, apparently a customer accidentally bred them and brought them in for the store to sell, so I'm taking everyones word that they are what they are. But at $6 a piece who cares? Mutt prices, I love it. Sorry about the shots, best I can manage at their size and speed.

Seven Seas in Brookhaven. Unfortunately I bought the last two they had, but every once and a while I'll drive down because they get some unusual stuff in there. I wondered if the guy who bred them was on this site, Cubans aren't too common, and they must be pretty well taken care of if to breed.

Month and a half later. The darker fish is about 4.5 inches and the lighter is about 3.

going by the behaviour of both fish, jags and Cubans that will be a digging master lol. very interesting fish looking forward to seeing it as an adult. when i put my jags with a Cuban about the same size at the female jag it disappeared over night, Im hoping its hidden in the rocks in a crevice i cant see.
