Picked up a little cr. sveni today...

Went to the new Petco in Coralville, IA this afternoon on my way home from St. Louis. I found this little guy in with the oscars. No wonder he's so skinny!

He's munching bloodworms already though!

For sure! He's so skinny! He eagerly accepts bloodworms though. I hope to have him nice and fat in a week!

Very cool! Sveni are a much underrated pike because they are so common but I have seen some spectacular specimens before with very intricate patterns in their dorsals. Grow that sucker up and make us jealous!

I think this guy was just outnumbered in the tank. There were about a dozen hungry, 3" oscars in the tank with him, I don't think he stood a chance. He's eating well now. I'll post pics as he fattens up.
